At Corvus Beauty, sustainability is more than a buzzword—it's our promise. The cosmetics industry, much like fast fashion, has long profited from practices that harm the environment, exploit workers, and compromise animal welfare. But we believe beauty and integrity can go hand in hand. Our mission is to offer a more holistic, ethical alternative to the “Fast Cosmetics” model, creating products that are as kind to the Earth as they are to your hair.

Embracing Renewable Resources
Our products are crafted using renewable, regenerative, upcycled and ethical ingredients, packaged in compostable and post-consumer recycled materials. Every stage of our production process—from the energy we use to the packaging we choose—is designed to minimize waste and conserve resources. We prioritize ingredients that are ethically sourced, formulated with respect for people and planet, and manufactured in a low-waste facility that composts, recycles, and continually audits its impact.
Carbon-Conscious Shipping
Partnering with Offset and Sendle, we neutralize the carbon footprint of every order. We source materials and ingredients from local U.S. suppliers when available, reducing transport-related emissions. Our shipping materials are 100% recyclable, biodegradable, and plastic-free, breaking down in less than 90 days.
Ethically Sourced Ingredients
At the heart of our products are ingredients chosen with care. We work with suppliers who share our values—prioritizing fair trade, organic, pesticide-free, cruelty-free and regenerative farming practices. For example, our shea butter comes from women-led co-ops in Ghana, while our coffee extract is sourced through ethical channels that protect migratory birds and small farmers. We also make use of upcycled ingredients like broccoli and raspberry seed oils, salvaged from agricultural waste and diverting what would otherwise be bound for the landfill.
To ensure the health of ecosystems, we research the conservation status of every plant we use. Our ingredients are free from the INCI Red List, our ingredients containing palm oil come from certified RSPO Sustainable Palm, and we utilize the CITES database to ensure our sourcing supports biodiversity and healthy growth patterns.
Safety & Quality, Hand in Hand
We combine nature's wisdom with modern science to create products that are safe, effective, and long-lasting. Our shampoo bars are designed to last 80+ washes, extending their life cycle while reducing the need for frequent repurchasing. We also adhere to the highest safety standards, ensuring our products meet EPA Safer Choice, COSMOS, and EcoCert certifications, and are compliant with safety standards of the EU. When it’s the most sustainable and cosmetically stable option, we use lab-made ingredients, like our synthetic mica, which is ethically produced and has a lower carbon footprint than mined alternatives.
Waste Reduction
Our packaging is designed with intention—reusable, compostable, and recyclable. From our recyclable paperboard boxes to our home compostable cardboard tubes and sugarcane paper labels, everything is made to leave as little trace as possible. Every product contains at least one upcycled ingredient (like broccoli seed oil) which diverts agricultural waste otherwise bound for the landfill.
Transparency & Accountability
We believe in more than just claiming sustainability—we live it. Every ingredient and packaging choice has a story of sustainability behind it, ensuring our practices are both environmentally and socially responsible. Our commitment is to leave a positive impact on the planet and its people. We give back by donating to environmental causes and organizations. In the past, we've donated to One Tree Planted and starting in 2025 we are focusing our support more local to donate to orgs like Milwaukee Riverkeepers and the Waterkeepers to help keep our waterways clean. We are also actively working to get certified with 1% For The Planet.
